Deputy spotlight, meet Deputy Jeff Newton. Jeff has been a Deputy Constable for District 2 for 7 years. Jeff has over 30 years experience in law enforcement. He began his career in law enforcement at the age of 17 with the Law Enforcement Explorer Program, with the Hopkinsville Police Department under Officer Rich Liebe. He has been a citified peace officer from Easter Kentucky University, Kentucky Law Enforcement Council. Deputy Newton served as a Patrolmen , Seargent, Lieutenant and Captain for the Christian County Auxiliary Police. He also served as Special Deputy for Sheriff William Dillard. Mr. Newton was the first officer in Christian County to become a certified School Resource Officer with the National Association of School Resource Officers. He served on the Marijuana Eradication Drug Taskforce Team and helped to confiscate millions in illegal drug activity in the region. Officer Newton was also a field training officer, firearms marksman and worked as an LEM for Hopkinsville High School. He has extensive training in less than lethal, counter drug force training, drugs, gangs and security enforcement. Meet Deputy Jeff Newton, District 2 Constable.
